The sources tell you the differences between what the men did and what the women did, and what they were both included in. Such as, men got the chance to rule where as women and slaves just had to sit and watch like they had no voice at all. The women and slaves saw how unfair it was that the men got more opportunities then the women. And that over 500 years, the citizens finally got a say in how their city was run. Also, what the women of ancient Rome were said to do. What the more popular women did and the differences between them and the other women. The popular women were said to have more children rather than the others.

In about 905 BCE, Rome introduced a republic where all the citizens had a say in how their city was run. This was after the last Etruscan king was ruled out of the position as emperor. Over next 500 years, however, when more of the people got a say, women and slaves still had no voice at all. To qualify as a Roman citizen, and to have a say, you had to be 25 or older, a male and freeborn (not born a slave) and if your mother was freeborn so were you
Rome would elect 50 men to run the city for one year, known as magistrates, then became part of the senate. The magistrates were voted for (similar to the modern parliament). Women did not get this opportunity.

Women, or more correctly, girls, were usually married by the time they were twelve years old, sometimes even younger. The upper-class women were said to have more children and the lower class women were not popular enough to have the most. Well this is what the people of ancient Rome believed. The women were expected to have as many babies as they could because they were never sure how many of the children would reach maturity. Men lived more freely with not much expected of them. They can vote and become part of the senate in the government.
